I just got a dmr-e20 and I am trying to convert my starwars ld to dvd-rs and I would just like to find some advice.I have read somewhere on this forum that it was possible to fit each movie on 1 disc in the 2 hr mode ,but the movies are a little over 2 hours .So what should I do use the 4 hour mode for a 2hour and 7 minute movie?? Please help me with this I know there is a way but I need to be pointed in the right direction...

  2. Use the Flexible Recording mode, which can only be accessed thru Timer Recording on the E20.

Can you explain a little more about the Flexible Recording mode, how to use it? I don't want to record from a tv signal only from vhs, minidv, etc. it's possible use that mode??

  4. With flexiblle recording you can setup time of your recording and it will calculate highest possible bittrate (quality) to fit your recording on 1 DVD.

So if your VHS is 1h 30min it will use all space on disk. In SP mode you will have 30min more available.
