Hey,
I am reading conflicting posts about the true speeds of the SONY DWU-10A dvd writer...
the internet says
24x cdr
10x cdrw
4x dvd-r
2x dvd-rw
2.4x dvd+r
2.4x dvd+rw
32x cd-rom
8x dvd-rom
EIDE
8meg cache
Now some people say this is the oem version of the DRU510A but some say it is the oem version of the DRU-500A..
Does anyone know the real story here? ... maybe somebody who owns a sony DWU-10A
TIA

I own a Sony DWU-10A which i flashed to a DRU-500A so i suspect its the oem version of that.

Thanks,
that is what i thought..
the store guys are so confused because the supplier is saying its 4x dvd+rw and 4x dvd+r but really it is 2.4 x only... -
Who knows. 4x +RW discs are not available.
The September Maximum PC claims that the "DVD+RW 4x" printed on the box for the DRU-510A is a typo but since 4x +RW discs are not available, who can confirm one way or another?

Yeah that is another reason why i bought the pioneer 106 (oem of the A06) because 4x dvd+rw are more expensive tooo.... ah well.
