  1. OK ive tried numerous guides and programs to do this but it just doesnt work.

Firstly i had some success with this method but now it doesnt make the movie properly, when i merge the files, the whole movie isnt there, or some of the sound disappears.
Ive used isobuster to get the mpg files from cds, merged them in tmpgenc merge+cut, then tested to see if the whole movie merged which doesnt seem to happen anymore, then if they worked id run them through simple demux, then run the audio through besweet, then use ifoedit to dvd author the files.

Another program i have tried is svcd2mpgdvd+, this just says it is converting the audio for over 4hours and shows no hard drive activity so i guess it doesnt work.

Also tried ulead movie maker but when i start creating dvd files from my mpgs it says that it will take over 9hours or something, and im not sure if this program converts the audio anyway.

I thought the first process using tmpgen was great until it stopped converting my movies, i had some success but not anymore.

Does anyone have any tips for me or some guaranteed methods that work?

I would try re-encoding your movies separately.
There is no need to join them first.

The Authoring process will stick them together.

Yup. I'm guessing that the joining process went haywire.
