  1. Hi,
I have this mpeg file that I'm trying to convert to an AVI. I used virtual dub. For Video compression, I used DivX 5.0.5 and for Audio, I used mp3 format at 192 kb/s. But the problems comes when the new file is created. The sounds and the video do not match, and its very annoying. However, with the original mpeg, the audio and video matches smoothly. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks

Do you want this CD to play in a DVD player ?

  5. No, i dont want it to be playable on a dvd player. The reason is there are about 35 files of that size, and i am trying to compress them so i can fit 4 or 5 of them on a CD.

Rumor has it that MPEG4 is the best compression to date.

  7. Well, my problem is not with the compression, its that the audio and the video do not match. Would encoding with mpeg4 codec help?

Use Vidomi or Mpeg Mediator and you will probably not have the audio synch problem.

You can't change your problem in the middle of a thread.
    It confuses people.
You said you wanted to compress video, now you want to
    fix sync problems.
