  1. I use windows media player 7.0 to play my vcds. There are two language options for all these vcds. I get mandarin but I can't seem to switch it to the other language. I can do it fine with the older version of media player by going into settings, filter properties, and changing the mpeg audio decoder to the 2nd channel.

Does anybody know if windows media 7.0 can do this? I've looked under options and everything. It should have these setting options right? since it's a later version.

well hope someone can help me cuz it's driving me bonkers.

    thanks

  2. Odd, VCD doesn't support multiple audio tracks on it's own. Normally one track is on the left channel and the other is on the Left channel. Have you tried just playing the left and just playing the right channel.

SVCD does support multiple audio tracks thou, are you sure it's not an SVCD?

  3. yes I am sure it is not a svcd because it works on my other oler computer with the older version of windows media player. I thought it had something to do with my sound card or the just switching the right and left speakers would work but non of it has. I just really need to find out where I can change the mpeg 1 decoder audio channels from 1st to 2nd. I can't find these options in windows media 7.

  4. I have the same problem with the windows media 7. Is there any other media player I can use to get the other channel (language)? Or can I rip the vcd into a mpeg with only one of the channels?
