I know that there are guides and other posts about this topic but for me it still won't work. I've tried loading the pal file into tmpgenc, clicking "do not frame rate conversion, encoding the video, and then doing the same for the audio using besweet, but when alls said and done the file has major audio/video sync problems. can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong, because i know that this method has worked for a lot of people.

Can someone please give a DETAILED step by step instructions on how to do a .avi PAL to SVCD NTSC conversion. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  2. I don't have a step-by-step guide. Just a thought. SVCD is not a very picky format. I have burned a lot PAL SVCDs and they play well on my NTSC TV and DVD player. I even burned some hybrid SVCDs with both NTSC and PAL tracks, they still play well. If you are curious, I use VCDEasy to burn. My DVD Player is Pioneer C503. Why don't you convert you AVI as it is, burn it and see if it works for you.

I've tried playing PAL SVCD's and my DVD Player (Panasonic RV32), makes the widescreen picture almost fullscreen and half the screen goes green. I've played NTSC SVCD's with the header trick and they play flawlessly. I've tried using the conversion guides found here, but the audio and video dont match after i try to convert to NTSC. I've tried everything....AHHHHHHH (going insane.......) Please Help.......

  4. If your using SVCDS, then it what Im trying to do aswell, im in the process of doing this so ill check back on you if i succeeded..

I have my SVCD (Multiplexed all the mpegs) and I use DVD Patcher to patch the resolution differently, than i extract the audio and make it 48k and dont touch the .m2v, then i open ifoedit and i load the m2v and mp2 (rename it to .mpa) and i create my dvd folders, i then open dvdpatcher again and i change the resolution back to *480 (open each .VOB file and do that, and last but not least burn ith dvd decrypter and see how it works,...... NOTE: i didnt make any chapters, but will soon if this comes out perfect.

P.S. My svcd is a PAL, and wanna see if itl work, ttyl
