  1. OK I just got my LG4040B and I love it. I just tossed in Spiderman and Using CloneDVD and AnyDVD it worked like a champ. With some 2x Maxells from Office Depot (15 disks = $20 @ Office Depot - Tomorrow's last day for sale) it took about 25 min to rip and 30 min to burn. Tossed it in my RCA player and it was crystal clear.

I've got a couple newb questions that I hope I can get some help with.

    1) What's needed to burn for PS2 compatibility (Both Movies and Games)... haven't tried yet. I have a USB Mod on the PS2.
    3) What other media should I try on this drive. Cheap and good are important but I want to know what others have used sucessfully and what site would be recommended?

OK I hope that wasn't too much to ask.

    Thanks for the help

  2. I've used the cheap 4x Princo DVD-R media with good results with the same drive. Its cheap and not everyone has had success with Princo media. Its actually for the kids backups, in my case. Just something to look into if you want cheap media I guess.

Ugh... don't remember where I bought them. I can get that info for you next week, sorry. (I'm actually out of town now.) But if you do a google search for 'Princo DVD-r 4x' you might find a decent price for them. Good luck.
