  1. Hope some one can help? I use to have no problems ripping a DVD-9 with DVDBACKUP and Compressing it to a DVD-5 with DVD2oneX, then burning it with TOAST TITANIUM. All of a sudden i was having problems with the burning situation, I fixed that. Now after I rip a DVD-9 to my HD and go to compress with DVD2one X, the application unexpectly quits. It will open but when i choose the VIDEO_TS folder on my desk top it quits. Anyone having any similar problems or anyone have any ideas?
P.S Im using OS 10.1.2 and the applicayion asks for 10.2.2. It use to work with no problems and im told this shouldn't matter!

  2. Update to Jaguar for goodness sake. Although, at this point, you may as well wait and get Panther, since it's due to be released next month.

you could download "Cocktail" free from versiontracker, it's quuite a cool little app and clean up the computer.. that may get you working.. repair permissions and the sort, clean out cache files and such...

  5. I have had the same problem with "Atlantis The Lost Empire" some dvd have a funny route the tell the info file's where to go and how to read. With Atlantis The Lost Empire I could not even rip the DVD with a windows program called smart ripper. I used AnyDVD that unlock your drive so you can use dvd2one right from the CD drive. DVD2ONE crashed I even use CloneDVD just like DVD2ONE.

    ANYDVD

some one should write this for the MAC

I then tried ANYDVD with www.dvdshrink.org and was able to make a back up. Had to shrink it two time's the first time is was 200meg's over DVD-R

Virtual PC will run www.dvdshrink.org MAC user's should give it a try when DVD2ONE fale's and see if ANYDVD will work with with virtual PC

DVDXCOPY might work also but have not tested out yet

Disney DVD's seem to be the most pain to back up

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Every title set on Disney DVDs needs to be played in Apple DVD Player (a few seconds of each), plus skip through EACH CHAPTER of the main movie. Once you do this, DVDBackup will work on Disney DVDs. Sure it takes about five extra minutes of your time to do it, but it works. Just do it.
