  1. I encoded a family video into SVCD format by EMPGEnc, recently, I need to re-encod it into VCD format( I have deleted the original AVI file captured from DV. the only thing left is the encoded MPEG2 format file).
    But I found out I can't open it by TMPGEnc anymore, It tells me "can't open or unsupported".
    During this period, one of the component's trial version is expeired . I assume it MPEG2 codec.
    So I downloaded winDVD as told by some folks from this forum, but I still can't open and encode it into VCD format.
    any suggestion?

    thanks

  2. Could be that TMPGencs 30day MPEG2 support has expired try.
    The 30 day limit can be reset by deleting the following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

    Or, make a file "TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg" with the following content:

    REGEDIT4
    ; Enables TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]
