  1. Ok, I downloaded a film in Divx, these are its properties...

    512 x 384, 24 Bits, 126571 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 136 KB/Sec, DIVXMPG4 V3

I have encoded it to VCD using TMPEG, but there is no sound, I have absolutely no idea why?

The Divx plays fine, sound and picture are perfect. The picture encodes perfect too, but there is no sound at all. I have used the PAL template and so everything should be ok.

I have even re-built the divx by using divxfix, that still doesn't work. The preview in the settings/advanced/audio has no sound coming through either.

Any ideas as this has never happened before.

    Thanks alot!

  2. When you load the DivX in TMPGenc does it load into BOTH the input video & the input audio?

I would extract the audio from the DivX w/ Virtual Dub. Then use tooLame or TMPGenc to encode just the audio to MP2. Then encode just the video w/ TMPGenc to M1V (or M2V). Then mux them with bbMPEG.

The movie you have downloaded is a new Mpeg 4, V3

TMPGEnc will need to work overtime to convert one of those, but can do it. However if its not working then load the AVI in and re-save to the DivX Mpeg 4, this is much better to work with. If you want to keep those AVI's as backup its worth doing it. You will also need to do this if there are any bad frames, as Vdub dont like them either

The AVI won't load up, how do you when you say to load it in and then resave it to make it easier to work with?
    Thanks!
