  1. Just went through a lot of "fun" figuring out how to use TMPGEnc to reencode an AVI to be a compliant MPEG2 file for burning to a DVD using MF2 (which was MUCH faster than asking MF2 to do it).

My concern is that when the thirty-day "trial" runs out I'm going to have to find another tool to do the same thing. I know about the Pro product, but my budget is still recovering from purchasing MF2 and the DVD Burner (which came with it's own software that tends to freeze up). While MF2 works fine if you don't have to rencode your source, it is very slow if you do.

    Any suggestions?

I have trouble believing TMPGENC goes lots faster
    than MF2.

Also look in Tools for a free encoder.

  4. You have been using the best tool avilable but if you can't aford to buy it go to the tools section and look under video encoders. There are many tools that offer demo versions. Main Concept is a good one. ..... harrymj3

  5. I was so impressed by TMPGEnc that I bought it. $49 is not too much to pay for such a powerful tool.
Just what is this reality thing anyway?

I gotta admit I've done some pretty weird things in the past in order to avoid buying demo software, but it never occured to me to install it with the date set in the future. Ah yes ... nimble minds at work here ...

Anyway, I agree with buying TMPGEnc in this case (which is what I did). It's a great tool and not a bad price.
The shortest sentence is said to be "I am". The longest is "I do".
