  1. I want to create a Video CD with CD audio that will play the video and the CD audio in a DVD player, also play the CD audio tracks in a CD player as well as a computer CD player and play the video portion of the CD in a computer. Is this possible and how do I create such a CD?

    Thanks,

    David

  4. Thanks for the quick reply. The link you forwarded is the same as writing a CD Extra. The CD audio plays in a DVD player but the DVD player will not allow me to go to the video portion of the disc. I need to know if there is way to write CD audio and video on the same disc that will allow me to play either the CD audio or video when I choose to on a DVD player?

    Thanks,

    David

  5. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to make a VCD in that way, although you will be able to because DVD players can natively play audio CDs.

    If you look through the guides or try a forum search you may find your answer, although you probably already tried those options.

  6. You can feed TMPGEnc diff video and audio, to you could give it a video clip, or still as your video source, and an mp2/3/wav for the audio. downside is, you have to make an MPEG-1 Video/Audio file, so you cant fit as much on a CD, then if you only had MP2's and no video.

    I Played with this once, didnt really seem worth it IMO.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    VCDs natively support additional CD-DA tracks after the video tracks. This is not the same as CD Extra where the audio tracks are written as a separate session (you cannot make S/VCDs this way, they are single session discs only). This is more like the antiquated "CD Plus" system.

    As to your question, the answer is no. How your player deals with such discs is dependent on the player.
