  1. I have used SubRip to extract subtitles that I wanted to edit and insert back into a DVD. I then used IfoEdit to mux the subpicture stream back into the re-authored DVD. The subtitles show, but they appear like this:

I don't know how to correct having the "blocky" background and just have the letters appear over the image.. Can anyone help?

  2. Well, I have learned that I can't add the subtitles using srt2sup without having a background. No matter how many times I selected "Transparent" for the background, the does not work!

So there are a few options here:
    1) Convert the MPEG's (VOB's) to AVI, add subtitles with VirtualDub, then convert BACK to MPEG
    2) Lower the position of the subtitles in the IFO file. Since it's widescreen I can use more of the bottom of the picture (yeah...how do I do that)
3)Shell out $5,000 for Maestro or Scenarist (if you can find a copy)

  3. Hi it's the author of Srt2Sup (see my replies to you elsewhere in on this site)

    Regards

    Srt2Sup

PS Are you sure you understand what you are doing and how subtitle colours work?

Remind me not to ever use this software. The author is condescending.

  5. Do you think I care if you don't use my program. I think you are too full of your own importance.

You can't even think of an original quote and have to steal one from a movie!

    I can do that!

Frankly my dear I don't give a dam!

Hundreds of people are benefiting from my program at not cost to them and considerable time and effort from me. I have never been contacted by this person to seek a solution to his problem only chastised on a forum!

Tell me how would you feel?

Ever hear of punctuation? For that matter, grammar, spelling, and good ol' common courtesy? If not, do not worry. You are probably too far gone for it to matter anyway. And if you feel I am too caught up in my own importance, take heart in the fact that in grand scheme of things, I know I matter very little.

But be warned, regardless of where I stand in this world, I will avoid helping anyone who belittles a fellow member as you have with your tone. How would I feel in your situation? Fine. I have no control nor am I responsible for over other peoples' actions.

How I feel is a choice, not a result of something someone I have never met has done to me. Oh yes, that is called maturity. Try not to worry, you may grow into it yet.
    Hello.
