  1. Trying to use workshop to convert avi wide screen to dvd but the aspect ratio is streching the video to full screen. How can I change that, so the video on the dvd also plays in widescreen?

  2. Don't use that program. It's worth a sh!t. Use a better program like DVDLab. You should probably use a better MPEG2 encoder to make the MPEG. I have a guide for the MPEG conversion, it's in my signature.

  3. I want to use Workshop so it will use the Ac3 sound already in the AVI file so I get 5.1 (if this is possible)

There are other programs that wil take the AC3 directly. Namely, DVDLab and TMPGEnc DVD Author. All you gotta do is use VDubMod and demux the AC3 (so it's indirect, whatever).

DVD Workshop will only do 4:3 aspect since you're supposed to use it for home movies from DV that are 4:3. If you did widescreen on your camcorder, then you gotta do it my way or some other, better way.

    ULEAD SUX, YAH!
