  1. The Beta 4 version didn't take long to come out from one! Anyone have any info or a link on what the differences are?

Maybe I'm missing something, but "reauthor" doesn't seem to DO anything in this new version. It just opens up another main window. That's no good.

Gurm, now that you have the two windows open, find the title(s) you want on the main window and drag and drop them onto the reauthor window.

That was one of my problems, I had a hard time believing
that a whole new copy of the program was the Re-author window.
I guess it is. This guy likes recursion.

I also had problems with Shared titles, but I didn't get
serious with it because I was in a hurry.

    I'll give it another shot.

  9. DVD Shrink 3 works great.

Deep analyzis takes about 40 minutes more but its worth waiting.
I've done five backup, one of them full disk(menu works)
    quality great.

FOO, in v3.0 Final (v3.1 I guess) the re-author process is gonna be more like v2.3.

  11. I was real impressed with 3.0. I just used it the other day on three DVD's that had some wierd encryption. They were all about 1:30min but were still almost 6 gig.

I didn't know about the drag and drop window, so I used 1.26 to strip what I wanted without compression and then used 3.0 for the compression. I was very impressed with the results. One was James and the Giant Peach and another was Antz. They were compressed 20-40% (the numbers kept varying while it was going), but the Deep Analysis must really do some great work because I have to really look hard for pixelation and I have a 35in sony tv. I look forward to what DVD Shrink comes out with in the future. All in all - it's a great product.

It took about 30 min to do the full anylize on a 2 hour movie for me then about 20 min to strip it to movie only. Under and hour is fast to me for the quality is seemed to give. The movie in question was one that normally I wouldn't let DVDShrink touch because of fear for output that I wasn't happy with, but it did wonderfully. Now if he'd just follow neros steps and add a way to replace the video with a still frame like I requested so long ago we would be close to that "perfect app" that will never exist, but it doesn't hurt for someone to try.
