I used it for the first time a couple nights ago......up to this point I had been using DVDShrink and InstantCopy7. We'll I tried backing up a DVD of mine that was over 8 gigs.......I decided to try DVD2ONE for the first time and that thing works perfect. It finished its transcoding in like 30 minutes where as IC7 would have taken over 2 hours. I watched the DVD and I cannot see any quality degredation at all. I used the "Full Disk" option as well, so my DVD has all of the Deleted Scenes and bonus features. Great program. I still love DVDShrink as well though.

On the other hand, I don't think DVD2One has enough compelling features to cause me to BUY it instead of using DVD Shrink for FREE.
I did buy CloneDVD/AnyDVD though. THAT's good stuff.

DVD2One is indeed a sweet utility (and I did buy it). Unfortunately, the same can't be said of many of its more rabid supporters, who tend to shout down anyone who says anything even remotely negative about the program. (Visit their support forum; see for yourself. It's even worse when the moderators are leading the "it's perfect, I can't hear you, nyah nyah nyah!" parade.) D2O has, IMHO, some serious upgrading to do -- particularly in the area of its user interface -- in order to stay ahead of the competitors nipping at its heels; it's a shame that a lot of its supporters (as well as the author, from what I can tell) prefer to stick their heads in the sand.
*sigh* Is it just me, or does it seem that the whole DVD/SVCD/VCD genre tends to bring out the worst in some people?Don't sweat the petty things, just pet the sweaty things.
