    I got this used OEM DVD +RW yesterday. How do I find out what firmware is on it? And how does the NEC OEM differ from the Dell? Mein is black and it only say NEC ND1100A.

    RecordNowMax(DX) driveinfo
    DVDInfo PRO (gooooood!)

    Here you can find all the firmwares for the NECs (original and regionfree)
    so you can find out what drive you got.
