Help with menus!!!

I use the Ulead DVD Workshop for authoring my SVCDs but I can't get them to work like reular DVD menus. I can't select what I want to play...I have to select the number on my remote. i.e. Play Movie = #1 Scene Selection = #2, I have to use numbers on the remote instead of highlighting it and pressing [ENTER]. Also when I go into the scene selection menu I can't get back to the original menu.

Another thing is that I can make the chapters but I can't skip forwards to them while the SVCD is playing.

How do I fix this? Am I using the wrong program? Please leave suggestions.

You can only select with the numbers in a vcd or svcd menu. You can't use the dvd arrows to select stuff.
