  2. I don't know about that but you could just put an internal drive in one of these external USB2 or firewire cases.

  3. I have my Memorex DVD burner in a firewire case and it actually works better than when it was in the PC (Uses way less cpu now)

  5. I saw one in the Best Buy catelog like 2 weeks ago. It is an external Pioneer DVD Burner and burns at 4x. Retails for $289 I believe. That is not bad at all. Can't find the link at Best Buy website. Wait here is an internal one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384731885&skuId=5405634&type=product&cmp=%20%20

On the site it says $299 + Free Shipping. I saw the same thing in the catelog for $289 but it was external. Weird, so I guess catelogs really so save you something. There you go.

  6. Thank you all. I know that I can use an enclosure to convert an internal device to an external one. However, I think I read somewhere where will be an external DVD burner by Pioneer, just do not remember when they are planning to release it to the market. Once again, I thank you for your inputs.
