I have an avi that is encoded with Microsoft Mpeg 4 for video and mpeg layer 3 for audio. When I import the clip and drop it on the timeline there is no audio even though there is a audio track filled (doesn't appear that there is nothing in it). I don't have the codec to encode with myself but I don't want to encode with it. I tried to make a mpg to make a VCD and the video is fine but there is no audio. I am not sure what I need to do. Any help would be appreciated.
Using Premiere 6.5

I guess I will... I suppose I could do source range to split up the file.
Thanks for the help.
