I paid $350.00 for the real deal retail box from a local computer store. Came with the remote and the whole deal. Now for the questions
A.) Did I get a good deal?
B.) Is the card worth it at that price point!?
C.) What advantages does it have over the more recent previous versions of the Radeon Series such as but not limited to 9700, 9000, 8500.

I'd say $350 is a fair price. I've seen the ATI AIW 9700 (not 9800) Retail version go for about $500.

$350 for a genuine retail-boxed AIW 9800 Pro from a Brick & Mortar retail store is an awesome price. Based on Pricewatch, it's going for about $380-400 online right now. Even the AIW 9700 Pro would take some work to find for that price let alone a 9800 Pro. Are you sure it isn't an open box or a non-Pro or something like that?

1) Awesome deal
2) A regular ATI MADE 9800 goes for about 300-400 so you got a pretty good price for it.
3) The TV tuner is supposed to be a little better and the graphics chipset faster than the previous version.
BTW what store was it?
