    Elevators (lifts) yes, escalators, no. I am not saying they don't exist just that I cannot recall seeing one. I would not think that the British climate was compatible with an outside escalator.

    I have visited London on several occasions, cant picture one at the moment. We don't have any in Swindon that I know of, only indoor ones in shopping centres.

    I have a vague recollection of one in sounthend.....
    that was 7+ years ago now, i may be mistaken.

    Assuming the electronics/control system is in a weatherproof box, would it matter about the steps themselves getting wet? i suppose they may rust though.........

    If there's anyone from/ been to Denver here then they know that some of the outdoor malls along the famous (rather infamous) 16th street have outdoor escalators....

    I think a couple of guys were trying to establish if there were any in the UK (where I am)
    I've seen and used the ones in Vegas
    I stayed in Balley's (spelling?) - that has one, right?
