  1. i was just wondoering if there is a tool available for this. I want to shift the audio in an mpeg to get the sync problems sorted. Some movies i can do fine, others not. Sometimes the audio is slightly out and its really annoying so i wanted a tool just to move it forward a second or back 0.3 secs etc.... thanks in advance

  2. If you extract the audio to a file you could start it slightly after the video with say ulead movie factory or adobe premier 6

I think there's some setting in TMPGEnc, where you can offset the audio, but I usually convert the audio to wav, then add some silence / cut out some at the start of the wav, then encode. This of course only woks if the 'out of sync' is constant thruout the whole movie.

  5. Virtualdub does that. If you have MPEG1 file, Virtualdub does. If your file is a MPEG2, you have to use Vdub MPEG2 Mod.
In Vdub at Audio menu, select Interleaving and Audio Skew Correction.
    Play video to certify.
When you know the amount of correction, you can demux, insert or delete a part at the beginning of audio to resync and remux.
