Help on AC3 audio

Have this video with AC3 and i used besweet to extract the video and save it in wav fornat.Used my usual way of using Virtualdub and TMPGEnc to add in the subtitles and encode the wav in but the final video got no sound.Help anyone???

I presume you mean the audio mate?

If so, have you listened to the resulting wav file? and do you know what format the wav is (e.g. PCM etc..) is there anything there?

If I run into trouble with AC3 audio, I usually load the entire source file into GoldWave, then save as a 16-bit PCM wav (GoldWave discards the video portion of the stream and saves just the audio portion). Then you can do what you like with it (you often have to normalise the wav, as it can come out pretty quiet).

OK thx will try out Goldwave....was trying AVItoWAV extractor....no sound from the wav.
