  1. I used DVD2AVI to grab a scene I want and rip the avi and audio tracks. Then I input them to TMPGEnc to make the MPG2 file. I burned this using Ulead DVD Studio. It plays fine in both my PCs but there is no sound during play back in either of my DVD players. Any ideas? I used standard audio settings in DVD2AVI (demux and 48-44 off) and used the wizard in TMPGEnc to add the video and audio clips.

  2. What first comes to mind is that you encoed with TMPGEnc which produces: m2v (video) and mp2 (audio) files. MP2 audio is NOT supported by the DVD standard (for NTSC players). 95%+ of players will play it anyway but some have trouble. Also some players have trouble playing disc if there is no AUDIO_TS folder.

    I would convert your audio from MP2 -> AC3:

    Then re-author and burn to a new disc. It's a good idea to have at least one DVD-RW disc around to play around with if you're just starting out with all this (and even if you're not ) Luck...
