    Hello,

I record video cassettes to hdd with mpegator capture card. But I couldn't find out the proper CD-R for burning VCD. Which CD-R gives best result for VCD? Can you give me a name and a model? What do you think about Princo CD-R? I want every VCD Player on market can read it easily without pixellation.

Is the colour of the CD-R effective to quality?

  2. The best CDs for VCD, in my opinion, are Imation CDs. Pixalation really depends not very much on the model, but on DVD player and quality of the video. I use them all the time. Compared by quality of video, percent of defective or error-burned cds and their life-time - Imation cds are the best ones.

  3. I personally don't trust any media brand that is produced by a third party OEM (which includes Imation)...

Verbatim Data Life Plus has never let me down...

  4. I'm partial to TDK discs myself - of course that's because I have a TDK burner and I can always find TDK discs on sale.

They are very durable too - that matters a lot!

  5. I use TDK's if I am being posh or ZERO DEFEX if it is just for something quick.

I've tried quite a few different brands and disks made in diff. countries.
I'd still love to get Fuji CD-Rs, those that were made in Japan and were rated at 16x. Best media ever for data, audio or VCD!!!
Too bad they are not there anymore.

  8. I would find the most compatible, big-brand CD-R I could find on this list:
