  1. Hi again,

While I'm at it, here is a problem I HAve when creating a SVCD with chapters on VideoStudio 5.0 with the DVD Plugin.

SVCD creation works fine, SVCD plays fine, I have a menu for selecting a chapter OK.

But while watching the movie, if I hit the "next chapter" button, it comes back to the "chapter selection" menu. There is no way I can jump from chapter to chapter directly.

Any help on this will be more than appreciated cause it's the only thing that prevents me from having a great SVCD with true chapters.

    thanx a lot

    Waldok.

And I always thought that this is the normal behaviour with the "next chapter" with SVCDs. This Button works only with MiniDVs.If I'm wrong, please correct me.

    Hi waldok,
you shouldn't trust me at that point, because it's just an (aquired) opinion of mine - I'm still learning matters.
I visited a Philips site about SVCD menus, and it sems, that only tracks can be changed with the prev/next buttons. So chapters (and this is only an assumption) must be on different tracks (mpegs). I feel disappointed like you but didn't find any way to change this. Maybe someone with more insight can correct me (I would be happy )

  5. Hi Dragon,

Look at my other post about TSCV problems with chapters, it seems wa have a specialist called themamboman, wh gave me explanations on how to solve my prob with TSCV and it seems that it is possible to use a SVCD as a DVD with chapters. I'll give it a try tonight and I'll let you know !

    Thanks

    Hi Waldok,
I'm looking forward to your test.If you got success, I'll be happy too, because it's really a pain always to go back to the chapter menu.Let's see what happens.
    Cheers
