  1. I have been using ffmpegX successfully to backup my DVD collection to divX AVIs. I use 0SEx 0.0101b to create a single VOB file on my hard drive, then use the ffmpegX quick preset 'divX' to convert it. However, a few DVDs (say, 5%), when converted to divX, lose their soundtrack completely.

I have tried choosing every audio track from 0 to 9 in the 'audio track' section, and have tried the 'invert mapping' box as well. Nothing seems to help. When I view the VOB file using vlc, the soundtrack is present. FfmpegX just can't seem to 'find it'!

Any tips/workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the Terminal output for one of these 'audio missing' conversions:

Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?

  2. Probably PCM audio. I will address this case in the next version.
