I have been using ffmpegX successfully to backup my DVD collection to divX AVIs. I use 0SEx 0.0101b to create a single VOB file on my hard drive, then use the ffmpegX quick preset 'divX' to convert it. However, a few DVDs (say, 5%), when converted to divX, lose their soundtrack completely.
I have tried choosing every audio track from 0 to 9 in the 'audio track' section, and have tried the 'invert mapping' box as well. Nothing seems to help. When I view the VOB file using vlc, the soundtrack is present. FfmpegX just can't seem to 'find it'!
Any tips/workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
