    im having prob encoding with tmpge plus the films will not encode so i downloaded AVI2VCD encoder that encodes the film but its upside down i then downloaded ffdshow to try and turn it but i cant get it to work it just says it defult i cannot find any way to select a film to turn any help

    you'll need to be a bit more specific about your problem if anyone is going to be able to help you..

    what is your source? I assume it's an avi.
    are you trying to encode to MPEG2 (DVD/SVCD)?

    It sounds like a codec issue to me..

    What does Gspot say about your source file? that should tell you what codecs have been used to encode the avi, and therefore which codecs you'll need to re-encode.

    let us know what Gspot says & we'll see what codecs you need.

    Gspot says you have 3 compatible codecs? (which ones?)

    Gspot says you have the codec, and it's Div3?

    What exactly does gSpot say?
