  1. I ripped the subtitles with subRip and converted them to I-Author format.

I tried to multiplex the video, audio & subtitles using the I-Author multiplexor. When it reaches the subtitles part the application terminates with a General Exception Error.
Muxing without the subtitles works fine.

So there must be something wrong with my subtitles ASCII file. I followed the only guide I could find on the net.

Is there someone who has already done this?
Any examples on how the ASCII file should look like?

Actually you should have a *.txt file, that refers to *.bmp subtitles.
In Subrip, did you save SubPictures as BMP?

I think is a crack problem...
Btw, multiplex without audio, then when the process is Ok, add the audio and remultiplex. It should go.
If after 2/3 times, you still can't, delete everything about the subs, and rip them another time, and retry the whole procedure (no audio/audio), it should work.

It's magic. No rational explain...^__^ (I tried on my own)

Make sure you dont have any of your streams, audio, video, or subs, in folders with long path names. I-Author has a bug about that.

    So instead of c:\dvdrip\movie1\cd1\
    just do c:\cd1
