VCD Easy chapter problem

Anyone having this problem?

I'm trying to burn a VCD using VCD Easy with chapters. On playback using my dvd player it always loop back to chapter two at the end of the movie. I've check carefully the interactivity feature when authoring using VCD Easy but still having the same problem.

This can only really be a interactivity problem, you need to select each chapter and make sure its correct.

It sounds like on the LAST chapter you have selected 'on timeout goto CHAPTER 2' you need 2 correct this to go to the chapter/menu etc that you want.

It should have on the last chapter 'on timeout goto ..pg u want..'

That should sort out the problem, i suggest u double check and make 100% sure.

I've double and triple checked the last chapter which currently is set at VideoCD end, it is still looping back to chapter 2. One other thing I noticed as well, if I'm on a chapter after number 2 and hit the next key on the remote it also goes to chapter 2. Any other suggestion?

There is something undoubtedly wrong with the way you are authoring the disc.

If you still can't fix it, I suggest that you post the XML on the forums and I can have a look.

Specifically:
<timeout ref="Selection-001" />


As you can see, the timeout for each of your <selection> (which incorporates each chapter) timeouts to the NEXT chapter. That is, when the whole film finishes playing, it timeouts (that is, goes to automatically) to chapter 2.

You should set the timeout ref as an endlist or to some main menu or something.

It worked !!!! Interesting though only "selection-000" that corresponds to "Sequence-0001-01" needs to be set to VCD end on time out, the rest of the selections corresponding to the chapters can be left to advance to the next chapter. Thinking about it and looking at the code this makes sense but from the VCD Easy UI perspective, it is a little confusing.
