Does anyone know if it is possible to burn .gi dvdr images on a Mac (or how to process them and author them).
From a search of the archives for this forum, apparently this kind of image is "global image" used by Prassi-DVD.
So, what's a poor mac user to do?
Thanks,
P.S. VLC will play the files. They are mpeg 2 DVD data.

Won't Toast burn them if you put it in Disk Image mode and drag the .gi files onto its main window? I thought Toast could handle .gi files...
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
Gumby changes a .gi to iso even if it is segmented (it does lots of other good stuff for vcd and mpeg files too, like a swiss army knife for the mac)

Thanks PS2Daddy!
Once again this fabulous forum comes to my rescue. Gumby did indeed change the images to an iso which I dropped on Toast in DVD mode and voila!
A big thankyou to Paradox, the author of Gumby. It really is a very useful program with many tools combined into one very tidy application. I tell you between this and ffmpegX Mac video processing is great!
Thanks again for you help and anyone out there who has not checked out Gumby, grab a copy...it's got a ton of tools.
