hi to all

i had a gigabyte GA-8ST667 with a p4 2,53 533 CPU and a bt878 based cheap tvcard wich didnt support high resolutions
despite this i was able to capture real time MPEG2 at 720x576 with powerVCR or winDVR and perfect quality.
the produced file was already deinterlaced with bob technic and able to be converted with any editing software.

i upgrade my system with GA-8IPE1000 ,865PE chipset,hyperthtreating
tecnology and P4 2,60GHz 800fsb HP CPU.

well thats it,no more real time 720x576 mpeg2 capturing,it captures but the produced file looks corrupted.
the file plays on wmplayer but gives error after a while.
and it is interlaced,i can see clearly the teeth lines.
reclock software stays red during playback and cannot find the refreshing
rate of the file.
doesnt play at all with powerDVD5 and zoomplayer.
so i can capture only low resolutions(under 288 vertical)

i know there is no solution to this,i know my card does not support
720x576 capturing but why it was ok with the older mother board??

for some reason on previews mother board tv card was able to use
all CPU resources and produced a fine MPEG2 720x576 file, why this is not
happening on the new and more advanced hyperthreating technology
mother board and CPU????

sorry for long post but is the only way to be clear..
