I am having a problem with a decrease in the playback volume when tranfering from DVD to VHS. I just use simple process no ripping encoding etc.... This does not occur on all transfers. At present first time this has happened. I could not determine which form to post this in. Is there anything That I can do, I have already cleaned the VHS heads, thinking maybe I need to have VHS serviced and cleaned professionally.

disconnect and reconnect your cables from the DVD to the VCR. And make sure it is not the disk, by using another disk.

Thank You for the suggestion, so far it is just that DVD, others seem to be louder in volume. I even exchanged the DVD re backed up with much the same results.
I will try your suggestion.
