  1. Hi all,can anyone help?,ive got a divx movie and i am trying to convert it using TMPGEnc to either mpeg1 or mpeg2 the errors im getting are as follows : write error occured at address 00011CA6 oF module of tmpgenc.exe with 030F9784. Then if i play around with the enviromental settings this error disapears and is replaced with a new error write error again module 'ntdll.dll with 000000000.I can see the picture fine on the preview window, the error only happens when i cut the movie with the source, then come out of it,or just begin to start to encode.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks.Dean

Which codec are you using? This can have an effect on TMPGEnc. You could have an older DivX video file, while I know the later versions of the codec are compatible with older DivX versions, this is still a well known issue. Maybe try downloading one of the older codecs? Re-install your current one?

When you say you played with the 'Environment Settings' did you mean the 'Priority' settings. Cause I know that can help too.

  5. Could be bad frames:

    1) Load the Divx file into the most recent version of either Virtualdub or VirtualdubMOD

    2) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy"

    3) Select "Check for errors"

    4) Select "Mask bad frames"

    5) Save with a new filename
