    Are there any other capturing programs that can be used with Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB, than WinTV2000?

    dcsos SCENALYZER for DV file not MPEG, sorry khilkemen there nothing eles how ever the newer WinTV-PVR2 USB will have some 3rdparty support.

    because its a SOFTWARE MPEG--it needs the HAPPAUGE PROGRAM
    is that the gist..
    I know ULEAD HAS A MPEG CAPTURE PROGRAM..but I think these only work with the right hardware

    It has hradware, not software encoding. Ulead won't work with. I don't know about the USB ver, but SageRecorder works well with the pvr-250 pci card.
