  2. Just one experience comes to mind: I was sitting watching the movie, and this "cowboy" sits right behind me and puts both of his booted feet on the back of my chair and the chair next to me.
LMAO...You should of said something to him so he could kick you in the head with his spurred boot. In all seriousness though...that's one thing i've never liked about the movies...is people putting their feet and knees on your seat. Especially when they start acting nervous and shaking your seat.

Almost each and every time i've gone to the theater i've had this issue. But I end it real quick. I turn around and say these words "do me a favor, keep your feet and knees off my seat." My friends usually laugh because they're surprised I say "do me a favor"...but I believe in being courteous the first time around....and i've never had a person put their knees or feet on my seat a second time...so at least I can enjoy my movie without my seat rocking.

What bothers me even more about that though..is the respect factor. I've got really long legs and I make it a point to not even touch the seat in front of me if someone is in it....so when the person behind me does it...I gotta end it real quick. But we all handle these life situations differently....that's what makes this such a diverse world.

Yes I do, and like I said before that's really not saying much at all. But you are taking this post very off topic. The crux of this thread is what annoys you, and stupid people who are inconsiderate of others annoy me, regardless of my views regarding my own intelligence. Sure I generalized, but the progressive dumbing down of our society is not exactly a novel topic so forgive me if I choose not to pull any punches. I really wasn't even meaning to refer to intelligence at all. Its a matter of consideration, and if you don't have any for others than I will call you an idiot or anything else I choose to, regardless of how intelligent you are. But when it comes to consideration for others, I definitely consider myself well above average, especially when watching a movie.

The entire audience of the movie started to applaud me About 4 dozen people in total.
And I applaud you here, in cyberspace, for doing your job (and the right thing -- two things that young people today find it increasingly difficult to do).

And, unfortunately, I agree 100% with Adam -- hey, there's nothing wrong with thinking you are above average. Just *when* did it suddenly become so politically incorrect to understand that you are mentally, morally and/or physically more capable than other people. Jeeze -- here in the U.S. people often mistake the "all people should have equal rights" with "all men are created equal": the former should be true, the latter is definitely not (and not just because I qualify for MENSA do I say this: I.Q. tests measure what I.Q. tests measure, and many a high I.Q. individual I've known has been a blithering idiot).

Besides, it doesn't take intelligence to behave politely -- and that's what is truly missing from society (and most notably here on the web). I don't know when exactly good manners went out of fashion, but the day when strangers stopped addressing each other as "Sir" or when children started calling their seniors by their first name would be a good place to start.

I do enjoy being part of a crowd experiencing a great movie for the first time -- the great reactions from an exciting adventure (like "Raiders") or the great laughs from a comedy, these are all things that are best experienced as a group. But if the group isn't polite, then it becomes an unpleasant experience at best. I strongly suspect that "Return of the King" will be the last show I ever seen on the big screen.

  7. The real reason why people and even me go out to the movie's. One there nothing to do it's fun to go out. Second big screen not every one has a big TV. Third Surround sound DD or DTS. People have to get out of the house and the movie's is a quick get away for two or three hour's. But thing's will not last if more and more people get pissed when other people are talking. Plus movies are not as good as before. Old Star War's new Star Wars may I say more LOL.

Well I have a 3.7GPA, but I still flinch at intersections. When you grow up, you will realize how all people are different, and not just like you or how you want them to be. I'm not just talking about, well, talking, during a movie.

    End of discussion.

I hate when people talk during movies. During one movie these 4 teenage girls wouldn't shut up. I think it was Resident Evil, so about 4 couples plus me and Evonne told them to shut up or leave. They shut up.

  10. Talking kids, went to see Bad Company with the trouble and strife and there were these four bastard kids obviously not interested in the film playing with their mobiles with these f$ck of bright screens so I took all their phones and sat on them, said they could have them back if they were well behaved.

    They shut up.

I can't blame him. The movie wasn't interesting anyway!
