  1. I've captured a film in MPEG-2 720*520. The size of this file IS 7GB. So what i want to do is convert it to VOB files, then use CloneDVD to shrink it to one DVD. But what program do i use to convert it to a VOB file.
    I've tried doing it with "myDVD" & "movie factory" but after running 5min. they seem to quit and fail.

  2. I would try Ulead DVD Workshop. It's far better then Ulead Movie Factory and should do what you want.

    Have a look in the tools section of this site for DVD authoring tools. Hopefully one of the tools will allow you to make a VOBs that obviously won't fit onto a DVDr

    I think you will have to re-encode. I don't think
    720 x 560 is DVD legal.

  6. IfoEdit can, but you have to demux the video and audio first.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    Demux=demultiplex=separating the audio and video tracks, making you end up with one video file and one audio file.
