need help with PAL!!

I have a PAL dvd and i was wondering if there is any easy way to convert it to ntsc. I try using ffmpegX, and the video always ends up shorter, b/c its moving faster, and I also want to keep the menu. Thanks , JAT

Hello. I had the same problem. I bought a British show called " Sapphire and Steel" from Australia. It has 6 discs and i've tried every software that supposed to convert it. Holy mackarel!!! It was slowwwwww. I guess it has to go through each frame of the movie. I used a PowerBook 867 G4. So i bought a Philips 726 dvd from Best Buy for 89.00 + tax and just captured it from there plus i had to buy the canopus advc 100 to convert it. So total --it cost me around 350. I don't know if there's any other easy way. I didn't mind spending that money because i was planning to convert my home movies anyway.But i think thats it . Also you can just buy the Philips dvd 726 and you don't have to do anything.

Any one have a easy software solution for converting a PAL DVD to NTSC DVD on a MAC?
