  1. hey there, as the subject says, im relativly new to burning vcds.and i was just wondering if you lot could answer me a few questions

*I was just wondering what is the best software for burning vcds/svcds and the like?

*is it possible to get a program where you can replicate dvds without a dvd recorder?
the reason i ask this question is because a freind of mine, recently had a program free with a magazine called pc advisor. the name of the programme was simply called DVD MAGIC. it allows you to make vcds/svcds and divx with just a dvd-rom drive and a cd rewriter!!!

*and finally i was wondering wher i could get these programs? (preferably free )

You mean a vcd/svcd. Yes. Forty-Two is perfect for that.

    That's all you need anyway.

Check http://www.versiontracker.com they should have most of those, if they don't give google a search, and they will turn up.

  3. I've used Toast to burn (XS)VCD. I have not got MissingMediaBurner to work with my unsupported old-world 8600 and an external SCSI CDRW.

    p.s. check <http://www.sjoki.uta.fi/~shmhav/SVCD_on_a_Macintosh.txt>

There are preconfigured DV-to-MPEG and MPEG-to-DV MediaPipe templates at:
