Here's how long it takes me...
1. Rip the DVD using SmartRipper [10-20min]
2. Use DVD2AVI to create D2V file [3-10min]
3. Use vob2audio to create WAV/MP3 file [10-15min]
4. Do calculations for SVCD bitrate [1min]
5. Set up TMPGEnc [2min]
* Do Inverse Telecine if necessary [5min]
6. Encode to SVCD [3hrs-7hrs]
* Encoding to VCD would be ~1hr-5hrs.
My system is a 1.33Ghz Athlon with 256MB DDR.
