I am using a Dazzle Digital Video Creator USB, and first here are my computers specs:
500MHz Celeron
128Megs RAM
15gig HDD with DMA enabled, with a read and write speed of 30megs/sec.
If I use the moviestar software that comes with the dazzle DVC, it works fine, but I want to try other, better programs to capture with.
I have the exact same problem with every other Video Capture Program in addtion to virtual dub, and I've tried almost 10 so far, freeware and demos.
Since I am currently using Virtual dub, it is only capuring 1 frame a second, and no more, dropping the rest, no matter what settings I use. I tried all the available resolutions, disable preview, tried all available codecs, and still doesn't work. And it is only using 10-40% of my CPU power. It is capturing audio just fine, and the frames that do get captured are really high quality. But no matter what I do it won't capture more than a frame a second, even in test modes. It did this for every capturing program I've tried.
Maybe I don't have something configured right, any suggestions?
