i have the "salute your shorts" series in vcd format.. i know dvd spec allows vcd spec mpeg's to be used.. but of course the audio would be a no go.. i would have to convert the mp4 44.1khz 224kbit audio to 48khz..
i know that the NTSC dvd spec requires atleast one ac3 track, but does this apply when mpeg1 video is being used?
hopefully not, because i could fit alot more episodes on one dvd-r if i could use mp2 audio instead of ac3..
i dont plan on re-encoding the mpeg1 video to mpeg2 since there would be no quality increase.
thanks for any help anyone can provide.
