  1. Hey people. I'm newbie in ripping dvd's and i have a lot of problems with ripping. if i do ripping like the tutorials of this website, then i get problems with FlaskMPEG.

    most of dvd-ripping and encoding tools seems to need "panasonic mpeg plugin" or something like that. i've downloaded both versions (the plugin and the standalone tool). but flaskmpeg says: plugin not found! and also the tool dvd2avi says: "plugin not found".

    is there any tool with which i can directly rip and make an avi/mpeg-file ?????

    please help me ....

  2. DVDx and DVD2SVCD. I like DVD2SVCD, it's a front end loader for:

    vStrip -> DVD2AVI -> Azid -> tooLame -> avisythn frameserved to CCE -> bbMPEG -> VCDImager

    Just set everything up and click run, a few hrs latter you'll have X bin files ready to burn:

    http://dvd2svcd.doom9.net
    download the newest software bundle

    The guide is at http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd.htm you can also d/load CCE 2.5sp demo from this url. The demo will place a logo/watermark in the bottom right on your encoded MPEG (however, I hear that theres a crack to remove this ).

  3. ok... but what else do i need to view the ready svcd? is it possible to view it with my pioneer dvd rom? what kind of is the result file (.avi or .mpeg) or is it a special file, which only can be opened by a dvd-rom ????

    and the next problem: i want to burn the final file to cdr, but how do i split the files so they fit on cd ????

    thx
    kevin.

  4. Hi Instabil,

    using DVD2SVCD the resulting file will be MPEG.
    Don't worry about splitting the file, so that it fits on several CDRs. DVD2SVCD will do that for you. Normally you will have 2 CDRs with a SVCD-movie after the programm finished.

    The resulting CDRs can be viewed with a standalone DVD (check compatibility list - but Pioneer DVD should play it) or a software-player like WinDVD. Or you can download a free player in the TOOLS section called "STHSVCD"
