  1. when i copy from one dvd to a blank dvd i always used instant dvd to burn the VIDEO_TS folder. well my demo of the program expired and i no longer can use it. does anybody know of any cheap programs(free would be best) that can burn your VIDEO_TS folders? i am considering of buying instant dvd but am not really wanting to dish out $100 for one feature that i use in the program. sorry if this is a newbie question. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Do a search on this site or the web for ImgTool. It's a freeware and I'm using it to burn my VIDEO_TS folder. You need Nero to be installed though.

That's all well and good if you can use it without having to purchase Nero (ie it will work when the trial has run out) otherwise that defeats to object

  5. first of all i don't have Nero, so ImgTool isn't a solution for me. and for all the other programs listed above, they either didn't work or the free trial is over. thx for your help anyway, does anybody else have any other suggestions?? once again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    read the guide again: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/152875.php

all you need is ImgTool and DVDdecryptor...both of which are FREE

  7. There are two different programs called ImgTool, one is an imager and one is a burner. For some odd reason the newest verison does actually need Nero to burn?! However, IMGTool the imager works without Nero and once you have the image you can burn with DVD Decrypter.

Look to the left column, find TOOLS, search for "BURNATONCE", this is a FREE burning software, This is a great software to use for burning DVD's.

  9. ok i downloaded the the ImgTool version which actually makes the images and not burn the dvds. its been going for about 4 hours now and is still at 0%, so its not working out. I also tried burnatonce which gave me a new coaster in about 5 minutes. I set everything up correctly (or so i think) and it says the 4430 mb disc was done in 5 minutes. Is there any suggestions that you guys have which might enable me to get these programs to work, or are there any other programs available. I don't know whats wrong because I have never had any REAL problems with my burners and programs in the past. Help would once again be greatly appreciated.

  10. bertwagner,

With ImgTool Classic be sure you open it by clicking the actual programs .exe file. If you open it using a shortcut it won't convert. It will just sit there doing nothing.
