  1. Kazaam Gold Studio 2.0 package includes software that allows you to
copy a DVD, to a single CD.

Is there any freeware that I can get hold of to do this in a very easy fashion.

I do not mind using 2 CDR s of 700 MB to contain 4.7 Gb ..

you do realize that you are not going to get 4.7Gb of data into 1,400 Mb, right?

do you have a link for this software? many of the software packages out there for this purpose are nothing more than the same shareware or freeware programs you get here, with a graphic interface which takes away most of the control and hides the fact that it's a bunch of freeware doing the work...

here's a hint... if they don't offer a trial download, it's probably a collection of freeware programs...

this requires a LOT (and i mean a LOT) of compression...your quality will be lousy

however, if you insist, check out www.kvcd.net

    oh...so many errors...

    1) technically, you're gonna be making some sort of (S)VCD...so this allows you to fit 800 MB on each 80-min CD-R....so, if you're gonna use 2 of them..that would add up to be 1,600 MB.

    2) DVD-R/+R's actual size is 4.38 GB.

    3) how the hell did you think 2 CD-Rs that can hold 1,600 MB be able to hold 4.38 GB???? you need to burn to DVD-R/+R (and yes, go buy a DVD burner) if you wanna fit 4.38 GB. CD-Rs won't work.

otherwise, if you insist on using CD-Rs (NOT DVD-R/+R), then you need to create (S)VCDs...which have much smaller filesizes than DVDs and also lower quality.

  4. Sorry folks ,

I actually mean compression to VCD

I am just wandering what Kazzam gold is offering to put 1 DVD To 1 CD .

    1) Based on an acceptable compressed quality how many CDRs will need to contain a compressed DVD

    2) WHAT;S THE SIMPLEST WAY TO DO THIS ...THE COMPRESSION OF dvd INTO vcD ( i already have all the vob files in THE hdd)

  5. standard, compliant VCD allows 80 min of video to fit on 80-min CD-R.
