    I am trying out the Morgan Multimedia MJPEG codec. Their
    web page suggests that you get the best performance (highest
    fps) if you use YUV2. My system doesn't have that as a
    choice, however. How would I get it? My capture card
    is an ATI TV Wonder.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Truman,

    Thanks for the reply. Do you mean to install Huffyuv to use it instead of MJPEG, or to install
    it to get YUV2? I already have Huffyuy installed, and I had problems getting it to work on
    my system, but it is an old version, so I will try to load the newest version and try again.

  3. Try using YUV9, I started using DIVX 4.01 and it would not reconize YUV2 or YUV12, but it did work when I set my capture card to YUV9.
    To set these AVI codecs you need to set them up from your Capture card software 1st, I did mine from VituralDub.

    Have a look at c:\windows\system.ini, at the [drivers32] section watch out for the line
    VIDC.YUY2=???????
    Define the codec, I use VIDC.YUY2=huffyuv.dll
