Something weird is going on. I've used several calculators to verify what the bitrate should be for my XVCD but after I finish encoding, the resulting mpeg is too long. VCDEasy tells me I have to use auto padding whenever I go above 2300 bitrate but all the calculators say I can go higher. My last project was a 78 minute movie that was going to be put on two CDs in mpeg 1 format. According to the calculator, using an audio of 128 would let me get up to a bit rate of 2652. I used 2400 and the file is still too big. VCDEasy reports that the first CD has a length of over 81 minutes and that is more than the 79 minutes that can fit in the CD. Nero says the same thing so what's going on? Am I doing something wrong or will I be stuck below 2300 for my XVCD projects? Please help!
