If you are going to capture to DVD-R if I was you capture the highest bitrate you can make your DVD then use one of the many program to make it fit on one DVD-R like DVD2one DVDSHRINK or just split the movie on two DVD-R

  2. I thought I had seen the commercial for it. I had thought it was the SE version although it doesn't say that at their site.

  3. Marco33 yes it's is the SE version. By the way what version do you like better?

  4. The original. I don't care for the new CGI, re-cuts' & new sound tracks of the SE versions. George is a Jerk.

  5. Marco33 George lucas went to the dark side. True Star Wars fan's do not like George lucas lol. I my self like the original better. I would say the editting is better and the movie move's better in the right way. I think Star Wars is so good that the original had no CGI and what great movies they are. Movie director's should watch the original Star Wars to see that CGI is not alway's good. The story is the most important thing when making a movie not the CGI.

  7. Marco33 Sorry I did not know I went to the dark side when I used DVD2one lol. I did use DVD2DVD-R but had so many problem's with it in version 135 ripping was slow and the new version I have tried CCE just lock's up when DVD2DVD-R tries to start CCE. I have A AMD 1.8XP. what version of DVD2DVD-R do you use? I would not mind going back to DVD2DVD-R if it was not buggy.

TBS usually plays the Orginal Star Wars, but always in FullScreen
USA also does too, but I think that TBS pretty much took it over.
ABC/NBC.. Once in a while, will play ONE, like they did last year.

But, always, in Fullscreen, which suck,... but never in Widescreen.
    hmmm... wonder why.. .. ..

Oh, forgot to mention. . .

I have a tridition that I follow every year, for Thanksgiving..

Watching the Orginal Star Wars triligy.. usually start it around 4 or 5pm..

..from watching some, to cooking while watching, to eatching and enjoying
while watching some, to finishing watching the rest hehe..

That's my yearly tridition. I try and make it as home-ee feeling as possible.

    What's your receipe ??

  11. I find myself watching 1 about once a month. When the better half is not home I turn up the Stereo and drift away to a galaxy far, far away.

  14. Marco33 DVD2DVD-R is a good program I had 135 working but it tool 3 1/2 hour's to rip a movie. Then when Chatwalker start to change the code after 135 nothing worked. I have no idea why he start to change the code around so much

MOVIEGEEK if you have satellite dish or digital cable it worth capturing rent a VHS will not look as good as Dish Network or DirectTV

  15. I don't know about that. I have direct TV and they use so much compression that the picture is terrible

  16. Marco33 a friend of mine has DirectTV like me and his picture is not as good his box is older them mine and the interlace is not as good. I bought mine about a year ago. Also Dishnetwork last year did not have a picture as good as directtv butnow the picture is better then DirectTV. Dishnetwork use's a AMD chip so there box's must be software. So they must have sent a MPEG 2 update. It's a little bit better then directtv but not much. RCA and Hughe are the best box's. My friend had a Sony Box and it suck's. RCA picture is so much better.

My APEX DVD player is better then my Sony $500.00 dollar player.

  17. I have 2 DirecTV boxes both are RCA. The older one on the 43" gives a better picture than the new box on the 32".

Can't wait till this whole thing goes HDTV.

I had seen it at a customers house and I thought it was better than DVD.
