I have a AVI and it requires the OGG codecs to play and when I try to encode I always get an error that says
What does this mean and how do I fix it? I downloaded the ACM codec and installed it like 3 times and it didn't work. The error occured when ACM was initialized.

Did you extract and save the Audio as a WAV before encoding?

Also,
Here is a quote from another person with the same prob
Right, after getting no where with downloading new versions of the program i decided to experement.
I opened the Xvid file with Virtualdub which then enabled me tosave it using a different commpression. So i chose to use DivX5 with uncompressed sound. After a few hours this gave me a one Gig file which i then proceded to run through TMPGEnc.
And hey presto, it liked this file. Yay
Its quite good i found this out because i have also been downloaded a file that uses OGM (Ogg Vorbis sound compression). With this one i had to pass it through an audio decompressor then do the same as i did with the last file.
So there you go, if anyone later finds them with this probmlem. I may have taken a long route to make them work, but least those X number of hours of downloading havent gone to waste.
